These familiars allegedly spoke to Cate, and instructed her to "deny God and Christ, which this Examinant did then assent unto."(38)

Mrs. Parby, wife of George Parby, had allegedly refused to give Anne Cate (Maidenhead) a pint of milk which she requests and Cate sought malefic retribution by bewitching her child.(38, 39)
