Name Description Original Text
Anonymous 160A spirit from Keyston in the County of Huntingdon, which Elizabeth Chandler alleged began to torment her in the night with puffing and roaring six months after Goodwife Darnell turned her into a duck. Chandler claimed that she found the bottom of her belly sore after this spirit visited her, and that "she did never willingly invoke or imploy the same, but hath prayed to God to deliver her therfrom."Shee saith that something hath come to her five times within this little space, and that there was about a weekes space between their coming to her, and that the last time was upon Satterday seven-night last in a puffing and roaring manner. And she saith that she found her body sore about the bottom of her belly after he was gone from her. She saith she did never willingly invoke or imploy the same, but hath prayed to God to deliver her therfrom.
